Unicorn sales have exceeded £5.6m (US$8.5m), a 33% rise on 2014, in this calendar year, with more new customers won than ever before as well as the company achieving double-digit growth in recurrent revenue from a loyal customer base.

Unicorn Training is delighted to learn that the Insurance Institute of Ireland’s (III) first ever online learning and development platform, iiiConnect, has been shortlisted for a prestigious eircom Spider Award in the Best Education Website category.
The III, the leading professional and educational body for the insurance industry in Ireland, has launched iiiConnect – hosted on Unicorn’s highly-intuitive, collaborative Web 2.0 learning management system SkillsServe – to 14,000 members in firms across Ireland.
iiiConnect is the result of a collaboration between the III, Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Unicorn to provide eLearning to the Irish insurance market. Scottish Widows online study program PASS is now taking IFA registrations ahead of the Chartered Insurance Institute’s round of exams in April 2009.
The Professional Advisory Study System (PASS) provides free access to study planning tools, an online resource centre and subsidised CII course material and exam entry. According to Scottish Widows analysis of the results from the April 2008 exams, advisers using PASS achieved pass rates which exceed the national average by 26 per cent across the exam spectrum.
Scottish Widows head of market relations George Andrew commented on training “Post the FSA’s statement, many advisers are looking at how they’ll upgrade their qualifications. The key factor for most is to avoid disruption to their businesses and their customers. Anything which shortens the time to qualification will be welcomed and we expect demand for PASS to be even higher than for the previous sittings.”
Unicorn worked with the CII and Scottish widows to develop the PASS training solution on our Study Serve learning management system. Scottish Widows now plan to roll out training to all other advisers on a payment basis (as part of a study package).
